This just kicks so much ass I don’t even know what to say.

Heh, I can’t say I have much interest in seeing the TV series.
But, there’s a bit in the article that I find interesting:
“Martin has nearly finished the fifth installment, but won’t complete the seven-book cycle until 2011.”

Perhaps I should get to it and read “A Feast For Crows” soon, then.
History has shown that you can’t really get your hopes up too high when it comes to release date for those SoIaF books though.

Incidentally, I found a Lucius Shepard book in the used books store down the street today. “Green Eyes”. Wanted to look it up online before I picked it up, but it sounds alright, so I’m going to pick it up on Saturday.

HBO has some of the best shows on television, almost perrenially, critically acclaimed – The Sopranos, Deadwood, The Wire etc. Would you rather have Hollywood do a movie or maybe a Sci-Fi miniseries? 😉 Seriously, if anyone can do it right it will be HBO. Maybe wait until it gets the green light for production first?

Unfortunately Feast for Crows is probably the worst of the four released so far, you might want to wait for Dance and then read them together, if you’re not in a hurry.

Green Eyes is Shepard’s first novel, and this is from a writer who is a master of shorter forms. I enjoyed it quite a bit, but I wouldn’t call it a classic. If you search this blog I think I reviewed it a while back.
